Z-Medica, LLC, maker of QuikClot, has been awarded a $200,000 grant from the U.S. military to research and develop a second-generation product for use in the battlefield. The company manufactures and markets its blood-stopping compound that has become standard issue in every U.S. Marine’s individual first aid kit throughout the world.
